SUMMARY: Coordinate program and provide problem solving assistance and short-term rental assistance to enable those COVID-19 impacted individuals to avoid entering shelter and find permanent housing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Able to initiate, create a housing plan, make decisions, identify & implement solutions.

 Complete reports and required documentation in an appropriately, effectively and timely manner.

 Conduct housing search and placement with landlords.

 Provide flexible financial assistance (arrears, first month rent, last month’s rent, and/or security deposits) to help people resolve their immediate housing crisis as approved by Director of Housing.

 Develop the fiscal mechanisms to administer financial housing assistance in compliance with HUD/CoC requirements.

 Connect people with community resources and family supports to mitigate the housing crisis.

 Assist people who have already lost their housing and become homeless to find alternative places to stay and avoid shelter, or unsheltered homelessness.

 Engage people in urgent and creative problem-solving conversations to find immediate housing.

 Is adaptable, flexible, prioritizes and takes charge of situations as they arise, to the point of working extra hours if needed in order to meet agency deadlines and goals.

 Identify other short-term crisis options.

 Knowledgeable in computers and their programs i.e.: Windows, Excel, Internet usage, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
