High School diploma or equivalent AND valid NYS driver's license are required. The Housing Specialist position is full time which requires a 40 hour work week. The hours are Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm with some flexibility. Housing Specialist responsibilities include providing support services to assist adults in obtaining and maintaining safe and affordable housing. This includes visiting with program participants on a monthly basis (face to face or tele-health), collaboration with landlords and assisting in apartment searches within Schenectady County for referred participants. The preferred Housing Specialist candidate will be highly organized, able to carry out multiple ongoing tasks and have strong writing and verbal skills. There is no on-call for this program. Experience working with individuals with mental illness is preferred but not required. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits. EOE M/F H/V.
