Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Operates as the clinical and administrative leader during shift; provides leadership in supervision of unit activities; demonstrates consistent ability to resolve crisis and problem solve situations; assures adherence to hospital policies and procedures; serves as the clinical resource person to the staff; assures high quality patient care in a safe and clean environment. The RN house supervisor will be required to work shifts as a staff RN as needed either instead of or in addition to the Supervisor/Evaluator duties.

Cedar Springs Hospital COVID-19 vaccination mandate:
In accordance with Colorado state public health order, all healthcare workers must be vaccinated, and the Company must verify vaccine status. Pursuant to this public health order, the following modes constitute as proof of vaccination:
- an electronic entry in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS); OR
- an immunization record from a licensed healthcare provider who has administered a COVID-19 vaccine to an individual who provides services for the facility or agency, specifying the vaccine administered, name and title of the person who administered the vaccine, address of the location where the vaccine was administered, and the date it was administered. A
COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered would suffice.
Exemptions
Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements by providing a signed exemption form indicating one of the following:
Religious Beliefs- Qualifying Medical Reason
To be eligible for an exemption based on Religious Beliefs, the worker must provide a written statement describing the worker’s sincerely held religious beliefs and how those beliefs conflict with Colorado’s August 21, 2021 Public Health Order requiring certain healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The company may request supporting documentation to further evaluate the request for religious accommodation.
- To be eligible for a Qualified Medical Reason exemption, the worker must provide a written statement signed by a physician, physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, or certified nurse midwife licensed in the State of Colorado stating that the COVID-19 vaccination for the employee, direct contractor, or support staff is medically contraindicated as described in the product labeling or authorized by the FDA. This statement should not describe the underlying medical condition or disability but should indicate the probable duration of the inability to receive the vaccine.
A record of signed exemption forms and statements submitted in support of the exemption request must be maintained in a confidential HR Medical file, separate from the Personnel File.

Knowledge of insurance contracts and precertification process. Working knowledge of DSM IV. Knowledge of assessment and treatment of substance abuse.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Requires full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients.
Ability to perform CPR and first aid.
Ability to work rotating shift. Ability to drive a vehicle if necessary.
Must be able to speak, read and write.
Hearing and vision sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Human Services field preferred. Current Colorado RN license, Current CPR certification. Three years psychiatric experience to include addictions and one year supervisory experience.
Must meet or exceed hospital and regulatory agency training requirements.
