Mass General Brigham Home Care serves patients from rehabilitation after illness or injury, to chronic disease management. Job Summary
This is a hybrid role.
Perform regular maintenance to the organization’s medical records. File, and maintain patient electronic medical record compliant with agency and department standards. Remove and retrieve records offsite. Perform other general office tasks, including, but not limited to telephone triage.
Key Activities
- Review and sort paperwork by type of form; Scan paper forms into Onbase
- Use electronic systems to create accurate medical record including Bizcom, Onbase, Media Manager in Epic
- Audit electronic records for accuracy
- Discharge patient charts using checklist and obtain any missing documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to obtain and provide information
- Reports are generated and monitored daily to identify outstanding paperwork
Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or the equivalent experience required
- Ability to sort documents by type
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks accurately
- Computer skills necessary; Microsoft Office preferred
- Written, verbal and electronic communications skills needed
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Medical record certification helpful
