Heavy Equipment Operator

Description:

Morgan Trucking & General Construction is looking for an experience heavy equipment operator. Equipment may include front-end loaders, backhoe, excavator, bulldozer, graders, scrapers, skid steers, rollers, and other pieces of equipment.

Must have at least 2 years of experiences operating heavy equipment and valid driver license.

Essential Functions:

• Load materials with heavy equipment on dump truck, etc.
• Gather and load material from job sites onto and off trucks, and vice versa. Transport to appropriate locations.
• Maintain accurate logs and records to indicate where equipment/materials were transported
• Clean lots (debris, trees, etc.) with equipment

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is desired, but not required.

Physical and Environmental aspects:

• Will need to be able to climb and descend steps/stairs and use handrails to enter/exit vehicles.
• Environment can be noisy at times. Employee will be exposed to dust and fumes from gasoline, diesel, exhaust.
• Employee work outdoors, and will be exposed to the weather, including extremes in heat and cold, rain.
• Will be in sitting position for long periods of time while driving and subject to vibration of the equipment.

There will be times the employee will not work as an operator and may have to assist with crew in manual labor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Supply, NC 28462: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)
