Heavy/Farm Equipment Assembly

At Cutting Edge Assembly, we take pride in the precision and efficient assembly of various types and sizes of new farm equipment to include: traditional and high-speed tillage, grain transport and harvesting, planters and seeders by major manufacturers such as: Landoll, Sunflower, Case, John Deere, Great Plains, Brandt, Brillion, Kuhn Krause, Kelly and others. We also perform routine maintenance on tillage and planters. We provide on-site service at implement dealers like Case, New-Holland, Ag-Co, Kubota, and John Deere. We travel with a full complement of tools and safety equipment to dealerships and large farm operations across the Midwest, Central and Southern United States.

Responsibilities

· As an equipment assembly technician, you will be responsible for the unloading, unpacking, and sorting of implement frames and parts. You will occasionally need to read and interpret assembly instructions and item lists to ensure correct measurements and proper installation of parts.

· You must be able to follow orders and oral instructions for the majority of the workday.

· Operation of heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts, and telehandlers and the use electric and pneumatic power tools is another essential function.

· You will be relied upon to accurately and efficiently assemble parts and sub-assemblies, while ensuring the correct parts and hardware are used and installed correctly.

Qualification Requirements

· Travelling to different sites is an important element of our business and is an essential requirement.

· You will be required to drive periodically, or as necessary.

· Heavy lifting is a routine occurrence and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without accommodations.

· This is high tempo and demanding occupation; the ability to reason and problem solve and to communicate any problems or confusion is essential.

· Must be able to work in a team environment in various climates and weather conditions.

· While we prefer previous experience in a farm setting or performance of similar tasks, training is provided as necessary.

Travel Information

· This position is full time (40+ hours)

· We travel as a team of 2-4 personnel and are typically out of town for one to weeks at a time, depending on the size of the job.

Compensation

· We offer competitive pay based on experience. Pay is processed bi-weekly by electronic funds transfer. Bonuses are available based on performance. A sign-on bonus is also offered and paid following 30 days of continuous employment

Pay: $200.00 per day

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• On call
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:
