The Health Engagement Manager owns the output of a single work area within Health Engagement Services and manages a staff of health engagement professionals who are responsible for delivering health education and wellness programs. The individual in this role helps oversee program development, client/customer focused problem resolution and influences/leads process improvement. Promotes the organization's health and wellness capabilities to clients/brokers, and partners with account managers. The Supervisor utilizes in-depth professional knowledge but is guided by functional practices and well defined management precedents. Focuses on implementing and executing strategies within own department/discipline/team.

Job Duties:
Leads Health Engagement Consultant team with full management and technical responsibility for team output.

Manages a staff of health engagement professionals who are responsible for delivering health promotion and wellness programs.

Guides client/customer focused problem resolution and influences/leads process improvement

Promotes the organization's health and wellness capabilities to clients/brokers and identifies potential sales opportunities to inform sales leadership and account managers in local market(s)

Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

Focuses on ensuring short-term outputs and the effectiveness of team integration with other work areas

Provides input into workforce planning and recruitment activities

Manage engagement team of direct reports local market(s). Drive individual and team execution of go-to-market approach aligned with U3000 Health Engagement solutions

Maintains current knowledge of and expertise in all health engagement products, programs, strategies, and tactics

Maintains collaborative relationships with key matrix partners across the organization both within the sales organization and with those stakeholders that support health engagement

Maintains current knowledge of sales and competitive activity in assigned market(s)

Demonstrates mastery of available or upcoming health engagement products, resources, tools, presentations, materials, and collateral

Supports local market(s) with competitive health engagement solutions, strategies and tactics

Ensures team has knowledge and ability to develop market inquiries/responses for health engagement solutions; including the facilitation of training/updates for sales and account management teams

Drives team accountability on progress and fulfillment of goals and objectives, providing feedback and coaching, and formally reviewing and recognizing performance

Provides supervision and guidance as they perform their duties for assigned accounts; fosters a growth mind-set and champions Cigna's Connect to Growth philosophy

May attend key finalist meeting

Manages local market team(s) of Engagement Consultants (EC)/Health Benefit Educators (HBE); oversees assignment of book of business for EC/HBE

Working with Engagement Director/Sr. Engagement Director, champions change management to team, market and segment

Builds relationships with the sales management team and fosters the development of relationships between sales and engagement team (O500 and Select/U500 Segments) at local levels

Provides quality assurance for health engagement strategy, communication, and meeting execution in the market

Measures market activities and makes interventions based on results

Ensures 100% assignment of Engagement team resource

Responsible for hiring, orienting, training, supervising, evaluating and developing team members

Responsible for the overall management of client events-coordinating with matrix teams to ensure coverage for inbound and outbound enrollment events for local market and other offices

Provides leadership in local market and enterprise level situations including driving success of local initiatives

Coordinate with Sales matrix partners to identify opportunities for product penetration of existing accounts, potential sales of ancillary products and strategies to maximize growth; provide active support to sales growth and persistency targets at market level

Achieve the team business plan objectives, both in support of the implementation of new plans and in identifying and responding team needs

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s preferred; in health education, health administration, or related field

1+ years team lead and/or prior management experience preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills with direct experience in successfully managing client facing/growth initiatives within highly matrixed organizations

Proven ability to excel in a heavily matrixed environment

Ability to analyze complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions in partnership with sales, account management, underwriting, and product teams to solve a wide variety of unique market problems.

This role is a hybrid position and is not able to be performed remotely. Must be located in the market in which the role will support and willing to travel to remote trainings/meetings as needed – 20-30%. Must be able to report to Tampa office as needed.
