DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts as required.
- Arrive to work on time, consistently.
- Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
- Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
- Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
- Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
- Supervise housekeepers in assigned area.
- Develop a high standard of appearance and politeness among guest-contact personnel.
- Establish high standards of cleanliness, appearance and repair of all hotel rooms and public areas. Assign the clean air machine.
- Inspect departures after housekeeper has cleaned, giving feedback as needed.
- Check vacant rooms, following up with housekeeper.
- Keep hallways, banisters, and windows clean, informing Porters/Window washers as needed.
- Make daily inspections of accommodations to ensure standards of cleanliness to include patios; walk around the buildings checking outside appearance; report all maintenance problems immediately.
- Must understand and be able to perform all duties of a housekeeper and do so whenever a failure to meet standards is observed.
- Check pink sheet for hospitality rooms in your assigned area. Ensure special requests are filled and room is ready.
- Inspect public area, walk to outside areas.
- Complete room reports, following up.
- Periodically set up housekeeper work sheets.
- Work closely with front desk staff to turn over rooms upon guest departure and have rooms prepared for guest arrivals by 3:00 P.M.
- Close out on the computer. Lock everything, carts put up before leaving.
- Clean, stock, and organize all work areas before leaving.
- Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and information they provided including; proper; labeling procedures.
- Perform other jobs that will assist in quality guest service as assigned by Assistant or Executive Housekeeper.
