About Us
New Horizons is a non-profit organization that has been supporting Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in Lake Havasu City, AZ for almost 50 years. We pride ourselves in community integration with the support we provide through various programs, which include, eight residential settings, day programs, habilitation, and group supported employment. New Horizons is looking for a Group Supported Employment and Individual Living Lead to empower individuals with lifelong disabilities to enjoy life by promoting abilities and respecting personal choice.

Group Supported Employment and Independant Living Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with businesses in the community that employ individuals that we support.
• With input from the host employer, determine work to be done by the individual/s and develop a strategy to teach the skills needed to complete all work.
• Supervise and support a crew of workers.
• Provide feedback to Program Director regarding individual/s needs and progress.
• Transportation of individuals to Job Sites
• Provide supervision while doing daily living skills in a apartment setting.
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Assist with scheduling appointments.
• Assisting the clients with getting out in the community
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MUST PASS AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance application & Criminal History check
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License with clean driving history
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Frequent amounts of walking and standing
• 21+ years of age
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
