Specific Responsibilities

· Perform daily Group Sales Office operations, to include marketing & management, handling phone interactions and greeting customers.

· Field incoming wedding, corporate and social leads by collecting information and qualifying accounts. Prepare and send proposals. Arrange and conduct site tours with both market segments.

· Draft, negotiate and execute group room and event contracts, collect deposits and required signatures.

· Maintain multiple social and corporate accounts daily. Process emails, voicemails and appointments with upcoming bookings in a timely manner.

· Plan, coordinate and detail logistics of upcoming events, including but not limited to: travel/transportation, room assignments.

· Utilize Sales Force/Delphi bookings and meeting space requirements. Prepare banquet event orders for client approval and interdepartmental communication. Attend and conduct weekly Banquet Event Order Meeting with team.

· Provide coverage at onsite events, execute banquet event orders, manage vendors, direct guests and serve as a liaison between client and Residence Inn – Amelia Island. Anticipate and resolve potential issues, conflicts and client concerns.

· Oversee master account bills, ensure correct charges, collect payment and close accounts. Prepare monthly revenue reports.

· Train, coach and exemplify service standards

· Coordinate with Banquets and Rooms departments to plan BEO's including overseeing catering, food and beverage, etc.

· Perform Quality Assurance at all events to ensure proper set-up

· Understand and ensure compliance with guidelines

· Participate in pre- and post-con meetings and continuously monitor for ways to improve and excel

· Maintain Current/Accurate Marriott Sales on-line tools

· Timely/Accurate Completion of Monthly Sales Reports

· Sales Coordinator may be asked to assist in other departments to include Front Desk, Breakfast, and other areas as needed.

Requirements Qualified Applicants Will Have:

· Three years plus of progressively responsible experience in a high-end environment culminating in supervisory and management positions

· High school diploma/ G.E.D required, 4 year degree preferred

· Prior experience with F&B/Catering

· Current and valid driver’s license

· Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe), familiarity with Sales Force/Delphi

· Basic knowledge of accounting and budgeting parameters

· Organizational and time management skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Professional appearance and positive attitude

Out of state applicants are welcomed to apply, but relocation package is not available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
