The Front Climbing Club was Utah's first indoor rock-climbing gym, and one of the first in the nation. From its humble beginnings as The Body Shop back in the 80's to three best-in-class facilities today, The Front has never lost its soul or connection to its roots.

PRIMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS//

• Executes grounds keeping
• Mows and weed wacks grass, blows debris
• Maintains accurate records of landscaping improvement
• Landscapes by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, bushes and trees
• Applies pesticide to rid grounds of mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others
• Regularly inspects gym property (interior and exterior) for areas of concern
• Ad hoc projects such as irrigation installation
• Provides snow removal as needed
• Applies fertilizer to enhance growth
• Applies insecticide to combat predatory insects
• Prunes, weeds, and maintains grounds as needed
• Installs rocks, cement, lighting, and watering features
• Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls
• Uses hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes
• Ability to operate skid steer, excavator, dingo, jackhammer, and other large landscaping tools
• Gathers and removes litter

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS//

• Minimum of 2+ years of landscaping/maintenance experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
• General maintenance skills such as winterizing building, electrical skills, some plumbing experience for maintenance of water feature, etc.
• Specialization in irrigation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work early mornings
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects of at least 100 lbs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS//

• Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear
• Frequently lift and/ or move more than 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception
• Frequently in hot weather, operating in the heat and sun during the summer months
• Position requires the use of hand tools and power tools;
• May be required to work on the roof top, ladders and areas of great heights
• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud
• PPE may be required for this position
