Performs and provides transactional service administration for post-award services. Supports the entire post-award life-cycle process with highly accurate data entry, processing and transactional reviews that support grant and research administration functions and activities. Provides responsive and courteous assistance on behalf of the office to ensure accurate information and customer service is provided to faculty, staff and college/department administrators. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:


60% - Essential - Support Services: Ensures the complete and accurate set-up of new sponsored projects, as well as fully executed modification, amendments and subawards in the University ERP systems (PeopleSoft, InfoEd, Buyways, OnBase, etc.) to facilitate the creation, tracking, invoicing, reporting and record management of sponsored awards, including but not limited to budget, F&A rate entry and document indexing. Establish new customers, as needed, in ERP system databases, and enters and establishes subaward purchase orders in the Procurement system. Provides support for the closeout phase of project management by recording the date closed and prepare file for archiving.

20% - Essential - Grant Management and Accounting Support: Prepares journals, budget amendments and other adjusting or corrective entries as requested in support of grant accounting and post-award functions. Triaging - Reviews select expense transactions on sponsored awards (i.e., travel and Buyways activities) to match proactively against a set of developed checklist criteria and forward transaction workflow to appropriate individuals or parties. Provides administrative support for routine basic invoices by proofing and sending electronic statements to sponsors.

15% - Essential - Data Integrity - Data Review - Quality Assurance:
Perform verification of regulatory/compliance checks to ensure approvals are in place prior to sponsored setup and, proposed internal budgets match the awarded budget. Works with Pre-Award, Grant Administrators and/or College and department personnel for updated forms and corrections.

5% - Essential - Records Management, Continuous Improvement and Other Duties: Upload and index documents within the Onbase/InfoEd systems. Provides general support by ensuring proposal, award, and setup documents, as well as documents saved on the central server is properly uploaded and recorded in the post-award document system. Effectively communicates, collaborates, and work in a team-centric environment. Effectively leverages new tools, systems, devices, and software to reduce errors, streamline processes or increase productivity. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education - A bachelor's degree and business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience.
Work Exp 1+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Work Exp 2+ years
Certifications - Certified Research Administrator
