Vali Incorporated seeks highly qualified General Support Equipment Mechanic to support the US Army located in Tobyhanna, PA.

Job Duties:

• Ground Support Equipment Mechanic may be assigned as automotive and diesel mechanics and/or power unit mechanics.
• Work involves the test/repair/overhaul of power units, as well as troubleshoot, repair, road test vehicles ranging from HMMWV to 5 ton truck and 1/4 to 20 ton trailers.
• Requires a knowledge and skill in all of the acceptable trade methods and techniques.
• Use of machinery and hand tools related to this trade. Valid driver's license.
• Makes major repairs to (a) precise power generator units, electrical systems, electronic governing systems, remote switching systems, high voltage static-automatic control systems, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and electrical and mechanical systems of all types of mobile and field operation powered support systems, and (b) heavy duty mobile equipment and vehicles powered by internal combustion.
• Powered Systems Support.
• Disassembles, repairs, modifies, reassembles, troubleshoot and tests gasoline and/or diesel engines, precise power generator units, electrical systems, electronic governing systems, remote switching systems, high voltage static-automatic control systems of all types of mobile and field operation powered support systems.
• Work involves frequent bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and crouching; sometimes works on the top of and under, vehicles in cramped or awkward positions.
• Mechanic lifts, carries and sets up items weighing up to 40 pounds; often puts forth similar efforts in pushing, pulling, turning, and positioning assemblies and equipment. Often lifts and moves heavier units with the assistance of other workers and with lifting devices such as jacks, hoists, and cranes.
• Work is performed inside and occasionally outside; subject to extreme cold and dampness outside; shop area is heated and adequately ventilated.
• Follows numerous safety procedures and is required to wear protective gloves, ear plugs, goggles, masks, shoes or other safety clothing appropriate for this position.

• Valid Driver's License
• Must be able to pass a required security/background process
