Job description
This position will assist technicians and mechanics as required in all activities and duties including assisting in the performance of general equipment maintenance, building HVAC, and mechanical maintenance, repair, service call work involving electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems; performing incidental carpentry, masonry, painting and plasterwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists with performing emergency service and repairs on electrical, mechanical and structural systems and equipment as necessary
- Installs or assists in installing and satisfying service requests and to maintain the equipment as listed on the building equipment inventory in proper operating condition
- Assists with a full range of maintenance tasks including estimating material requirements, placing and connecting electrical operating equipment, mechanical and structural systems and equipment

Assists in maintaining and making repairs on utilities systems and equipment
- Assists with inspections and tours of the facilities, providing preventive maintenance services in accordance with a well-defined program; institutes corrective action on any deficiencies
- Completes logs and performs other documentation necessary to the tasks performed
- Performs minor carpentry, masonry, and metal working repairs, installation and maintenance activities
- Performs other routine duties
Qualifications:
- High school graduate / G.E.D. or equivalent
- 2-5 years related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure. Able to read tape measure and read blue prints, as well as specification manuals.
- Works and participates well as a team member
- Communicate well with others
- Good organization skills; disciplined approach to daily activities; takes a sense of pride in all aspects of the job
- Self-motivated; ability to show initiative when problems emerge
- Time management; remains productive while working independently
Use ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment to accomplish the job.
➢ Ability to lift and work with objects (up to and including) 50 lbs.
➢ Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing maintenance duties.
➢ Equipment inventory at roof level
➢ Full outreach ability
➢ Work in areas that are somewhat uncomfortable due to draft, noise, temperature variations or the like.
➢ Work in areas that are very unpleasant because of extreme temperatures, noise levels, odors or other conditions.
