Location: The Matchmaking Company – Broken Arrow, OK

The Matchmaking Company is seeking a talented and experienced General Counsel to join our dynamic team. As our General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and services to the company, creating policies and procedures, negotiating contracts, and keeping up to date with dating service, employment, telemarketing, marketing, contract, and general business law.

This position is best suited for someone self-motivated who wants to become an integral part of a growing and successful company in a long-term capacity. Individuals must be ready to manage their own workload while also assisting with other departments’ legal needs and various other legal and regulatory research and analysis projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Work closely with the Vice President of Operations and company leadership to ensure compliance across the company.

· Developing, updating, and implementing policies and procedures for legal compliance.

· Prepare agreements for acquisition and partnerships.

· Prepare and maintain dating service contracts.

· Negotiate settlements.

· Stay up to date with dating service, employment, telemarketing, contract, and general business law.

· Manage litigation.

· Handle HR related matters and investigations.

· Manage compliance with State Attorney Generals and Consumer Divisions.

· Identify and provide solutions to legal compliance issues.

· Negotiate and maintain leases nationwide.

Qualifications:

· JD from an accredited University.

· 1-3+ years of experience in employment law.

· 1-3+ years of experience in contract law.

· Excellent judgment, an ability to exercise discretion and tact in difficult or confidential situations.

· Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

· Ability to spot compliance issues and provide solutions.

Salary will be based on experience. The individual selected for the position will receive their own office in our corporate headquarters and a great amount of freedom over their own daily schedule. Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance are available as part of the benefits package. Paid Holidays and PTO are also included.
