• Verify that they are paid way above the industry average
• Ask them how many hours they work. (Most roll out from their house after 9 AM to avoid traffic and are typically home before 5 PM)
• Find out what they do on the weekends for fun (We work M-F except for an occasional emergency job)
• Let them describe to you why they don't feel like sleazy bait and switch salespeople because there's NO SELLING, unlike the rest of the industry.
• Get their honest opinion of how we treat them vs. their previous employers.

In short, do your due diligence. Check us out! Know what you're getting into.

Shortlist of Requirements

• Clean background — We run a national background screening on all technicians. State, FBI, and fingerprints are required.
• Drug testing
• Good driving record — If you're like me and hate driving — this isn't for you
• Dependable and presentable vehicle (Truck or Van is best)
• Tools — This isn't for you if you're not mechanically inclined. Our techs love to solve problems — it's something in their DNA

Compensation and Hours

• You're paid as an employee (W-2) covered by worker's compensation.
• Paid insurance
• 4-6 weeks of paid training - You will be a Certified Garage Door Technician upon graduation, providing you with credentials and a solid foundation to hone your craft
• Excellent pay above industry average — $800 a week during training then typically earn between $1200 - $1700 a week, with the best hustling techs averaging over $2000 a week
• Work Monday-Friday with rotating emergency shifts
