VALIANT STUDIOS is HIRING!Full Time Art Instructor
This position will be in Valiant Studios in the Valiant Studios art and music-based vocational program, where individuals we serve are given the tools and training needed to realize their creative goals, whether through visual arts, music or theater. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring people who are motivated to support individuals with disabilities to attain the highest level of independence possible and build better lives for themselves, their families and their community. The ideal candidate will have an artistic passion they are eager to share. They will be able to address the dynamic ever-changing needs of those we support and promote a climate of compassion, understanding, and realization of people's dreams.
The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, starting at 7:30am, with ending times varying upon needs.

Hiring Bonus:
Valiant Studios is now offering HIRING BONUSES for the open positions! A $500 hiring bonus for art instructors will be distributed in two parts during the first three months of employment.Part one-following the successful completion of new hire orientation, hiring bonus will be processed for the employee. The art instructor will receive $250 gross. Part two-following the initial 90 days of successful and continuous employment as an art instructor, a second hiring bonus will be processed for the employee.The art instructor will receive $250 gross.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Be part of the arts instructor team and design creative projects to be carried out at the center, assist our participants in learning skills and materials necessary to carry out projects as well as their own, individual artwork.
- Contribute art skills and knowledge to the growth of Valiant participants' skill set and artistic vision
- Meet the basic needs of our participants, which may include medication administration, assisting in toileting, and other ADL's (Activities of Daily Living), as well as provide vocational and artistic programming.
- Provide one-on-one supervision for participants when needed; this includes, but is not limited to; physical support like transferring and gait belt use and assistance, eating, hygiene assistance, side-by-side restroom supports.
- Actively engage participants in artistic activities
- Drive agency vehicles or using public transportation to assist individuals in accessing the community
- Assist in promoting and showing of art through various exhibition venues.
- Complete daily documentation-extensive documentation is a large portion of this role. Basic computer knowledge is needed to carry out documentation requirements.
