Front Desk Representative
Job description
Cover front desk and check in guests during and after office hours during the week and or weekend; main shifts will be weekends Friday - Sunday with rotating schedule based on hotel and guest needs.
Answer calls with guests to book reservations or answer questions (Include carrying a work provided cell phone to answer reservation calls during business hours, and after hours on property guest calls during scheduled work hours)
Ensure and maintain a level of professionalism and friendliness with all guests to promote business mission statement.
Ensure cleanliness and professional welcoming appearance of front desk and general guest areas
Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
Performs daily, weekly and monthly property inspections to note to general manager and head housekeeper
Work with Head Housekeeper to ensure cleanliness and readiness of hotel. May be asked to fill in for housekeeping staff if necessary cleaning rooms, turning over laundry, and general cleaning tasks
Performs sudden audits on rooms and other operating areas.
Assist the General Manager and Staff in in some aspects of business planning.
All Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management
Must be available in case to respond to any guest or employee emergencies.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights
Experience dealing with guests, customers in a customer service aspect
Previous hospitality experience preferred but NOT required.
Previous management experience required.
