ob Description Summary:

As a Freight Specialist, you'll be working independently and with your team to grow existing and new business. Speaking with customers, drivers and working closely with others within our organization to find solutions for customers. We are looking for candidates with Brokerage or Operations experience to continue to build our team. Successful applicants should have experience in logistics and transportation. Understanding in freight negotiation, brokerage, operations.

Responsibilities:

· Manage customer accounts and grow business.

· Data Entry

· Coordinating, tracking, tracing, and scheduling of freight shipments

· Troubleshoot problems to ensure on time delivery.

· Answer inbound calls and speaking with carriers/ dispatch

· Negotiate freight prices

· Developing a strong network of carriers. Flatbed, Step Deck, Heavy Haul

· Developing new and existing customer relations.

Prerequisites:

· Relevant job experience.

· Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, TMS

· Have strong phone skills

· Must be able to deal effectively and tactfully with customer and employees in a fast-paced, stressful work environment

· Must demonstrate basic math skills

· Have the ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency

· Strong written & oral communication skills.

· An analytical problem solver who sees issues as opportunities.

· A strong work ethic and sense of diligence

· Experience with flatbed, step decks and heavy haul preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
