Job description
TTG Forestry Services, LLC (“TTG”) is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time forester position. The position would be located around the Hamilton, AL or the surrounding area. TTG manages approximately 145,000 acres in AL/MS/TN.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage 3-5 logging crews at any given time, both for thinning and for clearcuts. Will include timber sale setup, BMP oversight, and merchandising verification
· Inventory cruising including seedling survival audits
· Tree planting supervision
· Oversight on chemical site-preparation applications
· Annual tract inspections
· Road maintenance oversight
· Develop relationships with local wood buyers and mills
· Ability to learn and utilize company systems including GIS software
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Forestry Management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Must be a self-starter and willing to work alone in many cases
· 3+ years forestry experience preferred, but will consider those with less
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
