Job description

We're looking for an outgoing and hard working individual to join our Food Service Team. This individual will be responsible for leading the front of house staff and working closely with the different departments throughout the store as needed. The primary focus of this position will be to provide superior customer service, work within the department, manage the staff schedule, oversee sales and make sure margin goals are met and to manage shrink and inventory.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Ensure the deli is well merchandised and visually appealing to customers

· Ensure the deli and juice bar operates in compliance with health department regulations.

· Work closely with the chef to oversee production and food management

· Establish pricing procedures, to meet margin goals and ensure accurate, up to date records of costs of production.

· Research and recommend purchases of equipment and other large capital expenditures for department.

· Maintain department equipment in working order. Troubleshoot problems and arrange for repairs.

· Communicate with Chef to monitor inventory and fulfill ordering needs

· Develop and enforce daily tasks to be completed including, setup, break down and sanitation of the juice bar and deli to maintain a clean and efficient work environment

· Control spoilage and shrink, achieve turn goals and participate in inventory

· Completes expired, sampling and temperature worksheets as required

· Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors

· Oversees all customer special orders

· Works in compliance with, and ensures compliance of, established procedure including Weight and measures, the health department and safe work practices

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds

· Standing / walking 6-8 hours a day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

  • Supervising experience: 1 year (Preferred)
