Food Service Coordinator, Ideal Senior LivingUnited Health Services is seeking a Food Service Coordinator to join our Ideal Senior Living in Endicott, NY. One sentence about the position. This is a [BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE/PER DIEM] position.

Food Service Coordinator Overview
Plans, organizes, supervises, and controls all assigned operational areas, including tray line and retail. Insures all standards and regulations of Federal, NYS Department of Health, Department of Social Services, and contractor are met.
Food Service Coordinator Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Supervises all areas of the main kitchen including resident meal service, café, and any catering functions.
- Ensures the utilization of sanitary food handling practices for the prevention of food borne illnesses.
- Inventories, monitors and purchases food, paper, chemical and resident food supplies.
- Works with dietitian to meet any nutritional needs of the residents, assists with planning and implementing of special events for resident and cafeteria meals
- Opens and/ or closes the department as assigned.
- Assures the quality, safety, and proper storage of supplies.
- Assists Director in interviews and selection of new employees; trains, evaluates, disciplines, and schedules assigned staff.
- Completes payroll time sheets, assuring accuracy and completeness.
- Performs administrative duties, including cost reports for nourishments and floor supplies; deposit tickets, cash register work sheets, meal count sheets. May have to prepare printed menus, daily reports of meal counts, catering reports and quality assurance reports such as Equipment logs, food temperature and taste logs and satisfaction surveys
- Performs duties of cook and other positions in the department as required.
- Supervises reporting staff and relates to others according to employee relations principles and adheres to all Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
