Food & Nutrition Supervisor Salary: $17.00 per hour

Food & Nutrition Supervisor Shifts: Available Holidays, Day and Evening Shifts, and alternating weekends

Our contract management company seeking experienced Food & Nutrition Supervisor for a long-term care facility. This position is responsible for overseeing the food and nutrition under the direction of the Food Service Director. Supervision in long-term care or healthcare preferred.

Food & Nutrition Supervisor Responsibilities and Duties

Overall supervision of the kitchen during scheduled shift. Properly opens or closes the department as required.

Ensures proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment incompliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Ensures safe food handling practices by staff are followed.

Completes and maintains logs to ensure safe food handling and sanitary environment.

Cover any staff absences when director or assistant director is not available.

Ensured meal service times are on schedule.

Ability to assist in cooking meals if needed.

Able to prepare and maintain department work schedules.

Must be able to multitask and prioritize. Initiative-taking individual with excellent people, communication, organized with knowledge of HACCP regulations.

Holds daily huddle meetings with staff.

Assist in the process of evaluating, discipline, and promoting staff appropriately.

Interact with families and residents regarding meals, substitutes, etc.

Assist in mandatory in-services and other education as needed.

Participates in culture change, improvements in work environment and quality of life of residents.

Works as a team member to achieve excellence in care and attainment of mission of facility.

Follows dress code for position.

Follows all dietary and facility wide policies and procedures.

Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Food & Nutrition Supervisor with ServSafe certification preferred.

Food & Nutrition Supervisor must have at least one-year Supervisory experience in a kitchen or dietary environment, Supervision in a long-term care or healthcare preferred.
