Membership Sales Representative

Full-Time: 40 Hours/Week

$20.00/Hour

About Us: The Fontana Chamber of Commerce has served as the voice, advocate, and resource for our business community since 1914. We are a non-profit 501 C(6) organization. We work hard to promote growth, trade, and civic improvement for our community, and to attract people, industry, and businesses to the city of Fontana.

Position Summary: The Membership Sales Representative is the friendly ‘face’ of the Fontana Chamber of Commerce. The goal of this position is to increase and drive membership sales. Our ideal candidate is an active listener who is organized, self-motivated, confident, and builds relationships easily.

Role Objectives

-Responsible for driving membership sales: provides information, processes transactions, and completes the sale process.

-Manages the membership and sales databases, produces regular reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Membership Sales: The representative will help the Office Manager to strategize and target specific businesses in Fontana. The representative will be responsible to reach out to businesses directly and promote the Chamber, encouraging membership.

-Other administrative support and/or sales duties as assigned.

Qualifications

-Positive, professional, and “self-starter” mentality.

-Strong sense of ownership and personal responsibility.

-Strong interpersonal skills, an active listener who is comfortable with “cold-calls” and on-the-spot presentations.

-Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing.

-Organized and Detail-Oriented: Must keep accurate and consistent records.

-Able to work as part of a collaborative and friendly team.

Requirements

-Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

-High School Graduate: Bachelor’s degree and/or college experience is a plus.

-Previous experience in Sales and/or Customer Service: at least 2 years.

-Ability to compute basic arithmetic and work with numbers.

-Tech-Friendly: Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and able to learn and adapt to new technology quickly.
