Job Description:
Position Summary:
This position is a training program position that will prepare the chosen candidate into a Floral Lead position or Floral Manager position. Training includes the overseeing of complete operation of floral department, including supervising and developing knowledge and skills of associates, as well as providing quality products and customer service.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Providing customer service. Answering customer questions, phone calls, and assisting in product requests. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Designing, pricing and displaying products. Must be able to see in order to differentiate flowers and plants. Ability to bend, stoop, as well as reach, push and pull product are required.
Cleaning department involving reaching, pulling, and pushing trash when cleaning. Stretching may be required when putting products away.
Ordering products.
Record keeping including listing of invoices and accurate phone orders for products.
Making out a duty list and instructions for floral associates
Inventory of department
Assist in scheduling
Here’s what you’ll need:
HS Graduate or Equivalent ( GED)
0-2 years of supervisory experience.
Proficient Computer (email, spreadsheets, etc. )
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
Accounting/Bookkeeping skills
Interpret/Analyze Financials
Develop/ Manage Budgets
Delegate/Direct/Implement
Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products
Detail Oriented
Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
