• • Oversee and schedule mechanic for maintenance of all equipment and repairs.
    
  • Schedule yard man for equipment cleaning. Also dispatch as needed to take materials to projects, and other various tasks.
    
  • Track all company equipment and tools. Collect broken equipment and remove from service, notify purchasing agent what is needed to replace, and what can be repaired.
    
  • Order and return rental equipment as required. Track location of rental equipment as it is often moved from job to job.
    
  • Manage and negotiate with vendors for optimal cost and efficiency outcomes.
    
  • Materials inventory control.

  
  Job Requirements

  • 
    Knowledge of FDOT and municipal standards and specifications.
    
  • Knowledge of legal and contract compliance requirements.
    
  • Train, lead and coach employees and leaders as needed to improve safety, efficiency, quality and productivity.
    
  • Provide necessary fleet and equipment input and assistance to Division Managers, VP of Operations, Project Managers and Superintendents.
    
  • Continually improve technical, supervisory, personnel, and customer relations skills.
    
  • All interactions with staff, customers, owners, etc., whether it is in person or a telephone call, will be conducted with respect and in a professional manner.
    
  • Notify upper management of any issues that cannot be resolved, or deadlines that cannot be met within a reasonable time frame, and before the deadline has arrived.
