As a Barclays Fixed Income Financing Credit Financing Trading Analyst, you will have the opportunity to assist the fixed income financing credit financing trading team in providing leverage to a well-established client franchise by lending cash or securities – either through a repurchase, securities lending, or margin lending agreement. This is an exciting chance for you to work with internal and external stakeholders including clients, brokers, dealers, as well as internal support partners.
Salary / Rate Minimum: $110,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $125,000

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
- Handling the market making for repo specials and managing day to day trading activity with shorts covering, short, dated client trades, specials market, trade booking
- Funding of client book and firm inventory, sending axes/commentary to sales/clients and initiating trades, obtaining regular feedback from sales on each price quoted
- Keeping track of client portfolio, marketing the product to potential clients, giving them color that they find useful
- Maintaining continuous dialogue with cash trading desk to be aware of markets, spread movements, liquidity on specific names
- Analyzing trades on risk parameters, resource allocation, returns as well as reviewing daily all risk reports
- Utilizing Emerging Markets and risk involved in underlying bonds, cross currency basis and how it may be used as advantage for funding, cash and cds market
- Maintaining active dialogues with colleagues in risk to ensure correct haircuts applied as well as supporting legal negotiations and risk management in relation to ‘buy-ins’
- Helping margin teams in relation to bond pricing (marks) when they lead to margin disputes
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Understanding of regulation and its impact on the repo and security lending market: Basel III (Leverage, Capital, and liquidity), FSB work streams on Shadow Banking, FTT, CSDR, etc
- Proficient with Excel, programing languages such as Python/C++/Java, and database languages such as SQL
- Excellent analytical skills

- Once on the desk, you will work on building an in-depth understanding of relevant regulation and will be expected to keep your knowledge up to date
- Patience, resilience, work ethic and the ability to perform under pressure
- Good people and organizational skills to maintain and prioritize numerous projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with people across various desks in the UK and with colleagues in the US and Asia

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
