Position Summary:
The O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of 51 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States and is the only one in Alabama and in the Deep South region.
A comprehensive designation also means UAB Medicine patients have access to leading-edge treatments or clinical trials that they may not otherwise have at local community hospitals or smaller cancer centers.

The Financial Officer II will report to Director-Financial Office-OCCC to perform monthly task using software tools such as Oracle, BA, FBS and Regions Intersect.
- Provide monthly financial statements to leadership and PI's.
- Review and approve Oracle workflow transactions
- P-card review, backup entry, and expense approvals
- Greenphire/Clincard approver
- Oracle HR entries salary reclasses and ACT documents
- Provide guidance regarding UAB's expenditure policy
- Independently resolve discrepancies
- Provide assistance and guidance regarding day to day financial services
Salary Range: $50,050 - $81,330
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hard skills: BA4, FBS and Oracle
- Soft skills: Communication and prioritization, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
