Job description

The Field Service Manager provides technical, logistical and supervisory oversight of Almcoe’s service operations such that service is performed in a timely, economical, safe and professional manner resulting in maximum customer satisfaction.

1. Manages and Develops the Service staff. Coaching/counseling of employees, sets work schedules and priorities, conducts staff meetings and evaluations.

2. Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Ensures that parts and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs to ensure minimal down-time.

4. Instructs technicians on proper use of material, quality workmanship, and diagnostics.

5. Runs overflow high priority service calls when other techs are unable to be dispatched.

6. Evaluates staff to determine training requirements. Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.

7. Oversees company owned equipment and maintenance making sure that assets are protected and controlled.

8. Ensures employees have the proper tools for the job and that they are maintained.

9. Coordinates with install department when needed.

10. Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles. Reviews reports with management.

11. Advises Account Managers on invoices they have questions on.

12. Rotates on Service Manager on call to support field service techs on call.

13. Other duties as assigned.
