Job Description:
As a Small Business Computer Repair Field Technician, you will play a vital role in providing on-site technical assistance to our valued small business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to computer systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity for our clients. You will have the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, contributing to the success of our clients' businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client locations to provide on-site computer repair and technical support services
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including but not limited to desktops, laptops, printers, firewalls, and networking equipment
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide customized solutions
- Educate clients on best practices for computer usage and preventive maintenance
- Document all repairs, installations, and configurations accurately and promptly
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and industry advancements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or degrees in computer science or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in computer repair and technical support, particularly in a small business or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
