Job Summary


This position serves as the facility coordinator for the Department. Key responsibilities of this position include the following: making adjustments to staff workstations; administering a staff ergonomics program; processing surplus property; participating in building emergency and evacuation procedures; and maintaining Department common spaces, such as conference rooms and printer/copier areas. This position also assists with Mailroom functions, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to operate basic computer systems to complete data entry tasks.
  • Database skills sufficient to maintain inventory records.
  • Basic math skills sufficient to maintain accurate data.
  • Customer service skills sufficient to exchange information and respond to questions by staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficient to read, sort, distribute mail, and communicate with customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assembling or adjusting modular office furniture.
  • One (1) year customer service experience.

Physical Requirements

Requires occasionally lifting articles of 50-pounds maximum and frequently lifting and/or carrying objects such as heavy tools and file boxes. This job may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.

Additional Requirements
