Purpose of the Position:

Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Coopersburg, PA is a growing church family with a beautiful facility that is used regularly. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the maintenance of the church buildings, grounds, and equipment. The individual is encouraged to recruit, create, and or hire teams to help with the maintenance and care of the facilities. Each week the building is expected to be cleaned, maintained, and ready for weekend worship services. Additionally, the facility spaces are routinely used for ministry purposes; It is the responsibility of the Facilities Manager to coordinate the setup and tear down of the various facility spaces being used. The Facilities Manager should expect his or her roles and responsibilities to evolve over time in order to best meet the needs of the congregation.

• Capable of personally performing many repairs and doing preventative maintenance as it pertains to the facilities

Tasks:

• Manage and coordinate contractors for the maintenance and repair of facilities

(including but not limited to building inspections, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, landscape, waste management and security)

• Ensure all church facilities and grounds are well maintained and ready for weekend services and mid-week events
• Responsible for purchasing and maintaining supplies and equipment on an on- going basis
• Develops and implements cleaning, maintenance, and remodeling plans with the

Building and Maintenance Team

• Routinely inspect the buildings for maintenance and cleaning issues and take appropriate actions to solve each problem

• Ensure that maintenance on the facilities and vehicles is performed
• Be on call for building emergencies and coordinate with the Safety Team (alarm system, fire, security)
• Coordinate with contractors regarding snow removal, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, exterminator, trash removal, etc.
• Responsible for coordinating the room and equipment set-up for all church functions
• Lead an advisory team (Building and Maintenance Team) consisting of Calvary church attenders for input and assistance when necessary as it pertains to the building and maintenance budget and other decisions needing to be made
• Work with the church leadership to report problems, solutions and costs associated with projects not approved in the budget, and provide input to development of the annual budget

Reporting:

• This position reports to the Associate Pastor

Type of Position

• This is a part-time position
• The Facilities Manager position is an “at-will” employee of the church

Compensation

• This is an hourly position. The Facilities Manager will track hours worked and turn them in bi-weekly to the church office.
• Compensation based on experience
• The average number of hours worked per week will not exceed 15 unless agreed to by the Associate Pastor and the Facilities Manager.
