Job description
Catawba Valley Staffing in Valdese is seeking motivated individuals to work as Fabric Cutter in the Hilebran area.
Responsibilities
- Ability to cut pieces from engineering drawings and templates
- Ability to measure and cut various types of materials
- Kit cut pieces for production to assemble
- Lift fabrics & component pieces weighing up to 10 – 70 lbs
- Assist with the manufacture of other products when required
- Must have sewing and fabric finishing skills; single, double stitch and overlock
- Completes pieces by checking for correct fit, sewing parts and sub-assemblies
- Use of hand tools, scissors, tape measure, seam ripper
- Skilled at utilizing proper sewing techniques and understanding sewing machine components
- Must be able to produce patterns from samples and own designs
