PRIMARY POSITION OBJECTIVE

Manage, direct and utilize a workforce of team leads and/or associate reports, to attain a high-level quality part, produced at a proven standard in a safe and timely manner to the job schedule and latest revision. Help to ensure that the product being produced will meet or exceed ProPulse, A Schieffer Company and its customer industry requirements and expectations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities include the following and any other duties that may be assigned.
• Supervise/manage/direct the production workforce.
• Keep a good working relationship with all departments and other supervisors to ensure products meet production schedules and are produced within our customer industry specifications.
• Maintain a safe workstation for yourself and others as you perform your duties. Appropriate use of PPE is required in designated areas.
• Responsible to see that the appropriate amount of raw materials, supplies, and work in process items are made available as required.
• Ensure that the product being produced is being produced correctly per current/latest revision.
• Ensure that all employees follow correct protocol.
• Investigate and recommend better ways to improve set ups, quality and standards.
• Maintain product, defect, quality and other records as required.
• Help motivate employees, encourage involvement in and work in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Assist in the training and training development process, including training needs.
• Responsible to analyze, resolve and assist employees in work-related problems.
• Recommend and/or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary action.
• Adjust work activities of employees to meet production schedules, using knowledge of employees, machines and equipment.
• Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (preferred).
• Must have a minimum of three (3)years’ work experience in manufacturing (preferably assembly or extrusion).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals including metric system.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Standing up 8-10 hours per day with a normal 5 days per week work schedule
• Occasional twisting, turning, or bending to move items up to 40 lbs.
• Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus of timeliness and responsiveness
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
• Computer skills; Excel, Word and Access for schedules and record keeping. IQMS, Shop Data, IQRF.
