We are a fast-paced, Licensed Low Voltage company, which also performs IT Support, A/V installation, Security Camera installs and much more, and we are seeking to hire an experienced low voltage cable technician to join our family and assist our busy “Special Projects” division in the field.

Duties would include running low voltage data cables in new construction and renovations, as well as in existing construction through finished walls, attics, etc.

Applicant should have extensive experience installing structured cabling, performing cable management, and be comfortable working in permitted and non-permitted jobs, in finished and open construction, both in residential and commercial structures – both single and multi-story structures, and be generally familiar with code compliance and general safety / OSHA protocols. Experience with best practices and safe installations is a must.

Applicant must be extensively familiar with the following work:

• Running, Toning, Terminating, Testing and Labeling CAT5e/CAT6 ethernet, RG-6 coaxial, 16-2/4, 18-2 Cable through interior walls, through attics, across drop ceilings, in plenum airways, and in EMT and PVC conduit.
• Running, splicing, coupling, and protecting low-voltage conductor wires inside of and through interior walls, through attics, across drop ceilings, in plenum airways, and in EMT and PVC conduit.
• Cutting drywall and installing single and dual-gang low-voltage brackets and wall plates, and keystone and coupler connectors.
• Performing patch panel punch-downs, keystones, labeling, cable management and organization
• Have attention to detail, take pride in your work, and be courteous and friendly

Although not required experience, helpful if candidate is familiar with:

• Installing wall-mounted and standing network enclosures and racks, raceways, and basic network equipment (routers, switches, patch panels, etc.)
• Installing digital and analog Security Cameras on exteriors and interiors of buildings
• Installing Flat Screen TVs & Sound Bars on flush, tilt and full-motion mounts
• Installing Wireless Access Points
• Familiarity with networking, router configuration, DHCP, static IPs, app installation and configuration
• Working on or in a scissor lift or boom lift

Applicant must be comfortable on ladders and lifts, as well as have reliable transportation to potentially travel to and from our office and job sites throughout Palm Beach County. Company does have vehicles, but it may sometimes be necessary to drive your own vehicle (personal vehicle mileage is reimbursed).

Position will be full-time, and any IT and general technical experience, or any BICSI / CompTIA certifications will ensure higher pay, and make applicant more valuable to our team.

Position is Full Time and pays between $20-30/hr, to start, along with benefits after a probationary period, and pay is based on ability and experience, as well as flexibility and knowledge switching between installing infrastructure and configuring devices. FT employees are paid regardless of billable work and for drive time. Use of personal vehicle includes reimbursed mileage.

Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, have ability to work Monday through Friday, and occasionally on weekends or after hours, a valid drivers license with insurance, and must NOT have a criminal record or excessive moving violations that would prevent driving company vehicles.
