In supporting the Marketing Director, this position provides planning, organization, and implementation assistance for all marketing, events, PR, and communication activities. The role includes but is not limited to creating, coordinating, promoting, and facilitating activities to articulate UWYC’s mission to donors, partners, and investors, and to support resource development and impact teams. The individual will serve as the organizational point person to plan, coordinate and manage sponsored events. They will be confident in using the latest marketing tools and applying best practices to ensure meeting organization goals.

Essential Functions
Marketing Related:

Plans and directs development and communication of information designed to keep the public, stakeholders, and related groups informed of United Way of York County programs, accomplishments or point of view. This includes but is not limited to press releases, collateral marketing materials, web/Internet, distribution and advertising copy to ensure appropriate content and consistency of message with respect to corporate goals and style guides.

  • In conjunction with Marketing Director, arranges for public relations, digital marketing, and social media efforts in order to meet the needs, objectives, and policies of the organization. Posting relevant content to grow followers and promote brand recognition/awareness.
  • Supports Marketing Director in customer, direct mail and permission-based marketing databases.
  • Supports Marketing Director in all corporate communications (newsletter, bi-weekly e-Blasts, Annual Summary) to incorporate consistency with written, verbal and electronic mediums to include managing and updating content of the company website.
  • Coordinates the creation of product and promotional sales and marketing materials. Coordinates advertising schedules and placement. Offer feedback on campaigns.
  • Produces & maintains inventory of marketing materials, photos, video, artwork, and related content for marketing literature, websites, social media, archive files, and sample files.
  • Adheres to timelines to meet organizational objectives.
  • Works with Marketing Director to execute marketing and events requirements within the prescribed marketing budget.

Event Related:

  • Maintains and coordinates scheduling the master calendar of events to include promotion, marketing, location scheduling, and support services for the total organization ensuring continuity and consistency of message and track return on investment.
  • Executes all event logistics including event timeline, site coordination, and promotional materials.
  • In coordination with Marketing Director, assist in sponsorship recruitment/development, and strategic partner relationships.
  • Creates analytics/data to track and evaluate ROI against event budget and Center impact.
  • Educational and Other Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Ex BA in marketing, communications or public relations).
  • Proficiency in graphic design and desktop publishing, particularly with Adobe products desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in the following critical areas: Branding, Marketing, Social Media, Photo/Video Editing Software, MS Office, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design/Arts Knowledge (Adobe prefer).
  • Possess the following skills/abilities: Sense of Urgency; Attention to detail; Creative & Innovative Approach to projects.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with our insurance provider’s requirements, as well as access and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
  • May be requested to travel to national, state, and regional meetings and to clients within the central Pennsylvania region. Will have occasional overnight travel.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
