One of our clients is seeking to hire a Equipment Mechanic in the Portland area (about 10 miles south of downtown).

The hourly rate is $20-$25 per hour plus full benefits and paid time off. This is a W2'd full time position Monday through Friday 8 AM - 5 PM.

Job Summary:

• Seeking an experienced HVAC Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and repair a variety of industrial equipment.
• Partnering with contractors, facilities managers, and business owners to provide the necessary products and equipment.
• Must have a complete set of tools and be proficient in refrigeration repair (universal 608 or 609).

Responsibilities:

• Perform outlined repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose cases of malfunction and perform necessary repairs (which have been approved).
• Communicate part needs and examine equipment.
• Determine if additional safety or service work is needed and document performed work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work space.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Skills:

• Willingness to learn and transfer HVAC system skills to new/used equipment repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Mechanically inclined with joy for repairing a variety of equipment.
• Positive attitude and self-motivated team player with the desire to improve.
