Adam Search Group has a fantastic opening for a highly reputable client of ours that is looking to hire a Junior estimator for their team. The Junior Estimator is responsible for assessing the scope of work requirements and formulating cost proposals to meet project demands. Estimators will be responsible for determining the square footage and or linear footage from information gathered from engineered drawings or field takeoffs. Estimators will be tasked with determining project costs based on various manpower and equipment schedules. This will include researching the costs of the materials, transport, labor, equipment, etc. The Estimator will work closely with senior estimating personnel in the project construction phase.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

• Research the cost of materials, transport, labor, and equipment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Understand how to assess Scopes of Work Language.
• Proficient in understanding engineered drawings and how to calculate SQFT to Linear Footage from drawings.
• Efficiently and effectively execute field takeoffs.
• Prepare and submit quotations and details of costs for work to be done.
• Assist with bids for new contracts and support the purchasing process.

What we are looking for

• Engineering/construction management degree
• The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets, and deadlines.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, or estimating software (Heavy Bid).
• Ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.
• Ability to manage time well and multitask.
• Very strong written and oral communication; must be able to communicate with all management throughout the company.
• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to find solutions to any problem that might come up.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
