A mission-driven Dover, NH organization is looking to add an entry-level Accounting Assistant to their team! In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team by performing a variety of accounting and administrative functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who wants to grow their accounting knowledge.
Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Accounting Assistant
- Review invoices against purchase orders
- Follow any invoice discrepancies through to completion
- Collect and file invoices, documentation, and checks
- Answer phone and assist or direct callers
- Review calculations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy
- Prepare account statements for clients
- Perform other related tasks and projects, as required
Qualifications of the Entry-Level Accounting Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of accounting experience
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, as well as working knowledge of accounting software
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to prioritize Strong customer service background
- Friendly and helpful personality
- Prior experience in an office environment
- Ability to multitask
