Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer/Process Technician to join our team and play a vital role in optimizing automated systems to improve manufacturing efficiency. As an Engineer/Process Technician, you will focus on improving the efficiency and performance of conveyor lines and fully automated systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, minimizing downtimes, enhancing layout design, and ideally possess a degree in mechatronics or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, efficiency enhancement, and downtime reduction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the layout of conveyor lines and fully automated systems for improved throughput and productivity.
  • Identify and implement automation and robotic solutions to streamline processes and minimize manual interventions.
  • Conduct detailed time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements, ensuring minimal disruptions to ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select equipment, components, and technologies to enhance system performance.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to monitor and track system performance, identifying trends, and recommending adjustments.
  • Provide training and support to operations teams to ensure proper operation and maintenance of conveyor lines and fully automated systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in process automation and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in improving the process of conveyor lines and fully automated systems.
  • Strong understanding of layout design principles, automation technologies, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Ability to identify and implement downtime reduction strategies and minimize manual interventions.
  • Proficiency in conducting time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and enhance efficiency.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques and tools to monitor system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to conveyor lines and automated systems.
  • Availability for occasional travel to vendor sites or other company locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
