$500 Sign on Bonus offered - paid out in equal parts after 90 and 180 days of active employment.
Yates Industries is currently looking for a Engineering Detailer. As an Engineering Detailer, you will be responsible to reverse engineer damaged cylinder components so they can be manufactured as new.
Primary responsibilities include measuring broken or heavily damaged components and creating drawings so manufacturing can make them new. Candidates will also reverse engineer complete cylinders so we can quote and/or manufacture them complete.
Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field a plus
  • Work in shop and measure up existing components to make new.
  • Fluent in Solid Works and/or Auto Cad is a plus
  • Ability to hand sketch to record information and transfer information to Solid Works/Auto-Cad drawings
  • Good communication skills, written as well as verbal
  • Competent using micrometers, calipers, depth gages and other precision measuring equipment
  • General knowledge of tolerances and fits of components
  • Self motivated and able to prioritize workload
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a production environment
  • Ability to operate overhead hoists & cranes as well as fork trucks
  • Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic cylinders a plus
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel, Internet Explorer, SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and Microsoft Outlook.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is a plus and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

In addition, long hair must be tied back when around hazards of flame, machinery, or equipment.
