Summary

Spire is seeking an Energy Efficiency Representative in Kansas City. This candidate will be tasked with growing the Energy Efficiency rebate program for Residential, Commercial, and Industrial markets by building relationships with trade allies and energy decision-makers. The candidate is engaged in the purchasing cycle and ensuring the rebates are impactful. The candidate proactively collaborates with peers to execute the growth strategy for Energy Efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Spire’s Natural Gas Contractor Program.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal partners.
  • Provides a high level of customer service to key customers and trade partners.
  • Promotes natural gas appliance and insulation financing programs to customers and trade allies.
  • Actively participates in external events to grow partnerships.
  • Promotes rebate programs to customers and trade allies.
  • Works with business and industry professional groups.
  • Tracks existing program performance metrics.
  • Assists with internal energy efficiency equipment training.
  • Attends meetings with the staff of the Missouri EEC.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Requires a high level of tact, diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Ability to design, communicate and deliver professional presentations.
  • Resolves conflict with ease and confidence.
  • Works independently and manages time effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Manages multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 2 years of natural gas efficiency and comprehensive understanding of energy efficiency programs for natural gas equipment.

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Hybrid work model. Requires normal physical stamina.
  • Duties may also require continual local automobile travel and exposure to the elements, travel within the Spire territory and Jefferson City.
  • Requires frequent phone calls and interruption both during and after working hours.
  • May require overnight travel.
