Job Description Summary

We are currently looking for medical assistant candidates with professionalism, excellent communication skills who are motivated to work among our highly specialized team of nurses and providers. This position allows for travel among our three endoscopy centers located throughout the treasure valley: downtown Boise, Meridian, and our newest location in Nampa. We are a fast paced, team oriented ambulatory surgical center dedicated to providing exceptional patient care throughout their endoscopic procedures. We offer staff an exciting and rewarding work environment in the specialized field of GI with on-the-job training for the endoscopy technician position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and procedure room nurse with any needs before, during or after an endoscopic procedure.

• Performs care and maintenance of automated endoscope re-processors and GI endoscopes, including high-level disinfection.

• Collect and record patient data when assisting with admission, recovery, and discharge of patients within the endoscopy center, excluding physical assessment and IV start.

• Performs inventory and re-stocking of supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing, procedure room and patient bays.

• Provide a safe environment for the patient.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

• Basic Life Support Certification

• Computer experience

• Experience in gastroenterology recommended
