Reporting to the Manager of Evidence Based Supported Employment, the Employment Consulant (EC) role will be responsible for establishing collaborations with Howard County businesses in hopes of securing employment opportunities for consumers in Humanim's Behavioral Health program. This includes introducing Humanim and the services we provide to employers in the community. In this position, the Employment Consultant (EC) may provide on/off site job support for employed individuals which requires flexibility with schedule. There is also an opportunity for providing a specific job skills training to consumers as needed in preparation for job placement. Employment Consultants (EC) are responsible for completing intakes, agency paperwork for consumers on a continuous basis, and job placement for consumers that match their abilities, skills, and interest within ten (10) to (12) weeks of starting and continually make placements monthly.

  • Valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle (required)
  • Sales and Marketing Experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collectively with a team
  • Ability to make monthly job placements
  • Flexibility with work schedule (due to clients’ needs) (required)
  • Previous experience working with the mentally ill population (preferred)
  • Background Check and Drug Screening (Required)
