PK-5 Grade Teachers

Position Purpose
All Saints Catholic Academy is seeking elementary teachers interested in teaching in the following grade levels PK-5th grade.
These are full time positions in a self-contained classroom.

Essential Functions

• Develops and administers school elementary curriculum consistent with Diocesan goals and objectives.
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning.
• Teach Catholic values, and stories of faith with commitment in daily curriculum.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
• Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Catholic Doctrine and witness of Gospel values
• Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
• Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor

Qualifications Profile

• Illinois State License in the appropriate grade level preferred.
• Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Rockford, IL 61107: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
