Electrical Engineer - Austin, TX
Halff Associates in Austin, TX has an immediate opening for an Electrical Designer supporting our Electrical Engineering department. The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced power and lighting design concepts and must be capable of performing routine calculations, equipment layout, lighting selection and photometrics calculations, circuiting electrical panels, and electrical feeder schedules.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design, layout, and circuiting of equipment for electrical systems, (i.e. lighting systems, lighting controls, circuiting HVAC and Plumbing equipment, etc.)
- Set-up drawing sheets in Revit and AutoCAD, develop panel schedules, and develop one-line diagrams.
- Assisting in estimated project construction cost and specification writing is a plus.
Electrical Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems
- Working knowledge of electrical design analysis
- Must have experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Working knowledge of NEC and IESNA
- Working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC
