Description:

A manufacturer of surface heaters, temperature controllers, and insulators. Their products are used in hundreds of industries to prevent freezing, keep contents flowing, maintain critical process temperatures, and more. They are currently looking for an Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

JOB DUTIES:

• Develop wiring schematics for electrical panels.
• Determine and create drawings detailing component layout and mounting positions.
• Create bills of material (BOMs), product descriptions, and labels for electrical panels.
• Identify suitable components based on ratings, dimensions, and other factors.
• Review customer requirements and propose possible solutions.
• Review and understand component datasheets and manuals.
• Work with manufacturing employees to understand drawings and answer questions.
• Design simple mechanical mounting brackets and fixtures.
• Develop programming routines for logic controllers (PLCs) / temperature controllers.
• Assist sales and application engineering with answering customer questions and solving issues.
• Assist with product compliance reviews and agency certifications.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUSTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Internship or Co-Op experience in Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing environment (design focused)
• SolidWorks Experience

- FEA Experience - need to have either heat transfer or flow analysis experience (schooling experience will be fine)
