Electrical Apprentice (Evans, CO)
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Position Summary:
The Electrical Apprentice supports the Journeyman and/or Master Electricians while working towards licensure as an electrician. This involves performing the work as necessary including assembling, installing, testing and inspecting electrical equipment. This position involves identifying safety risks and using the right precautions to eliminate the risks. The right candidate should be comfortable and knowledgeable with hand tools needed for tasks such as installing and modifying cable trays. It is important that this person has color vision, as it is imperative to identify different types, gauges, and color of cables and wires.

Job Qualifications:
- Ability to complete assigned tasks.
- Must be responsible for tracking personal labor hours, and job progress.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Deep understanding of AC/DC electrical fundamentals.
- Experience with PLC/RTU Instrumentation and Controls and program ladder logic preferred.
- Experience in the installation of lighting control systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with working with hand tools.
- Technical college degree or technical experience preferred.
- Demonstrated computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Able to speak, write, and read the English language.
- Valid driver's license with a good MVR.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for callouts for various electrical, communications or automation outages or problems.
- Assemble and install electrical equipment (i.e. switch gear, motor controls, VFDs, EV Chargers, conduit, cable tray in both GP and hazardous environments).
- Continue training and education in use and practical application of NEC code
- Must be familiar with NFPA 70E guidelines and must be able to practically apply guidelines in the field to keep his/her team safe and make the job site in general a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the customer and (or) General Contractor in the field.
- May require occasional travel by air or vehicle to out of state locations when requested by Company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
- Able to function in an oil field environment safely and effectively.
- Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.
- Must be able and willing to work both inside and outside in adverse weather (i.e., cold temperatures, high heat, sun, snow, rain, and wind).
- Must be able to work from elevated platforms.
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment (i.e., scissor lifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, trenchers etc.).
- Must be able to bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment as well as power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
- Must be able to push, pull, or lift at least 60 lbs.
