Driver Non CDL – Sandusky OH
Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. is one of the largest independent Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC distributors in America. We are looking for an experienced non CDL Driver to add to our growing team at our Sandusky location.
Work Week & Hours:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., No weekends
Pay: $20+ plus quarterly bonuses: accuracy, safety & performance
Requirements:
- Previous driving experience
- High school or GED
- Previous applicable experience
- Ability to lift 50 Ibs. regularly
- Ability to strap, brace or pad items to prevent shifting or damage during delivery
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission
Job Duties:
- Driving truck in a safe and professional manner
- Correct fueling and vehicle condition
- Using correct shrink wrap and load building / securing procedures.
- Using correct tow motor, crane and manual lifting procedures when loading and unloading trucks
- Performs pre-shift checklist
- Verifying safe conditions at delivery site before making delivery
- Gets tickets to determine material to be loaded and organizes them in an efficient delivery sequence according to the assigned route
- Report to dispatch for routes, changes, add ons and same day deliveries
- Prepares route sheet listing the stops and number of tickets per stop
- Locate material on dock.
- Shrink wraps skids to stabilize. Use pallet jack or tow motor to load truck based on delivery schedule
- Straps, braces or pads items to prevent shifting or damage during delivery
- Has COD or other delivery costs calculated
- Drives from branch to specified delivery site. Contacts dispatcher or supervisor by phone or radio if there are any questions on route
- Verifies conditions at the delivery site are safe before driving truck on site and delivering material
- Unloads material and puts in designated or safe location, collects funds as necessary, and obtain customers signature for delivery
- Gives customer his/her copy of the ticket, loads defective or returned material, and drives back to branch
- Unloads returned material and puts appropriate paperwork with the items
- Boxing material and processing tickets in shipping area.
- Pulling orders or processing returns.
- Pulling pipe in pipe yard or crane bay and cutting or threading pipe.
- Pulling material from high bay or outside yard to fill customer orders.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
