Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is looking to hire a Full-Time Dispensary Pharmacist for our Wayne, PA location!

The Dispensary Pharmacist is a registered Pharmacist who is responsible for providing an outstanding patient experience while maximizing revenue goals, assisting the General Manager in leading the development of the dispensary staff, and ensuring compliance with inventory, security, and system protocols. This sales-oriented individual should be enthusiastic about the benefits of medical cannabis.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate should have a passion and working knowledge base of cannabis and a desire to help others. Strong adherence to protocol and compliance are must-haves for this role.

The Pharmacist will conduct consultations with patients, reviewing their current medical conditions along with medications, provide marijuana education, discuss the forms of consumption that are available in the dispensary and make appropriate recommendations while adhering to state guidelines and regulations. You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain deals, protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with company standards. This position works on-site.

Role Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

• Become proficient with point of sale system (MJ Freeway)
• Track various metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Ensure compliance with all PA Medical Marijuana rules and regulations
• Verify patient certifications along with any limitations set forth by the certifying physician
• Conduct patient consultations, provide marijuana education, discuss forms of consumption available, make appropriate recommendations/follow-up on patients progress when applicable
• Maintain records for all necessary patient related documents
• Cultivate a partnership with the Dispensary General Manager (GM) and dispensary staff
• Encouraged to participate in advanced cannabis education, on-going research, discoveries, safety measures, etc.
